The fine chemicals development and production began in Rome in 1957 and then was transferred to Aprilia in 1967.
The Aprila plant has been manufacturing API's in cGPM since 1967 and has been FDA approved from 1979. Significant expansions and improvements of the facility have been carried out throughout the years.
A new Pilot Plant, which operates under cGMP, and a state of art drying unit were installed in 1999.
A new micronisation unit was installed in 2002.
Angelini is constantly upgrading its effluent systems to exceed current environmental standards.
